How does it work?

Start your day above the clouds. Our guided ski tours combine movement, meaningful conversations and breathtaking alpine scenery. Whether you’re new to ski touring or already experienced in the backcountry — we offer two different formats to match your level.

For experienced ski tourers

 What to expect:

  • Perfect for beginners or first ski touring experience
  • A safe and structured introduction to ski touring
  • Focus on networking and exchange along the way
  • Unique early-morning atmosphere on quiet slopes
  • Great opportunity for meaningful small-group conversation

Requirements:

  • Ski touring skis and touring boots are required: a regular alpine ski setup does not work
  • No avalanche equipment required

What to expect:

  • Guided by professional and experienced mountain guides
  • Smaller groups for safety and quality
  • Focus on alpine experience combined with meaningful networking
  • Physical challenge rewarded with stunning views and fresh tracks

Requirements:

  • Previous ski touring experience required
  • Avalanche safety equipment mandatory (LVS/transceiver, probe and shovel)
  • Solid skiing skills in variable terrain

Organisational Infos

  • Start: 7:00 AM
  • Piste Ski Tour: Meeting point at the valley station (Talstation) gondola
  • Backcountry Tour: Meeting point at the top station of Olympiabahn (employee ride at 7:15 AM)
  • A WhatsApp group will be created for communication and car sharing coordination
  • There is no shuttle bus at this time
  • Registration via the sign-up form
  • Limited spots available – first come, first serve (with waiting list)

Matthias “Hauni” Haunholder | Professional Freerider & Filmmaker
A pioneering figure in the European freeride scene.
As the first German-speaking skier to win a stop on the Freeride World Tour. Today, he combines his background in sports science with high-end film production, delivering inspiring keynotes and consulting for leading outdoor brands.
– Historic Win: Winner of the FWT Stop in Tignes (2009)
– Top Rankings: Consistent top performances, including 4th in the overall World Ranking (2009) and podiums at major qualifier events (e.g., 1st at FWQ Fieberbrunn).
– Expeditions: Specialist in “skiing the unskied.” Led expeditions to some of the most remote places on Earth, including Antarctica, Siberia, and the Kuril Islands. Film Production creating award-winning documentaries that merge extreme sports with cultural and environmental storytelling.

Johann Füller

Entrepreneruship Professor, Uni Innsbruck, Founder, Investor

Johann Füller is Professor of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Innsbruck University. Prior to his professorship, Johann Füller was a Fellow at the NASA Tournament Lab-Research at Harvard University and a Visiting Scholar and Research Affiliate at MIT Sloan School of Management. His research interests lie in the areas of artificial intelligence, open innovation, crowdsourcing, corporate entrepreneurship, business incubation, digitalization, and sustainability. Johann published numerous articles in journals such as California Management Review, Information Systems Research, Journal of Management Information Systems, Marketing Science, MIS Quarterly, Research Policy, and many others. Johann initiated the “INNCUBATOR.AT” innovation and startup hub of the University of Innsbruck and the Tyrolean Chamber of Commerce. He also initiated the cross-faculty extension studies in entrepreneurship and is co-founder of the Innsbruck doctoral program “System Innovation for a Net-Zero Transition”. In addition to his academic activities, Johann also enjoys being an entrepreneur and manager. He co-founded HYVE AG and served as CEO for more than 20 years before selling it to Qvest AG. He is a member of the supervisory board of Qvest Digital AG, a board member of the WHITE ROOM, a CEO leadership club. Johann acts as investor and advisor in several startups such as Icaros, Tawny, and Unbound. He further, serves as senior advisor of Raiffeisen Regenerative, a corporate venture of Raiffeisen. Previously, Johann served as a member of the scientific board of University of Vaasa and as member of the board of trustees of Skoltech University. Johann likes to empower organizations to become more innovate, sustainable, and entrepreneurial.

We founded komoot 2010, now it is a profitable remote-first company with more than 150 team members. Markus is father of 4 kids, loves cycling, skiing, hiking,…. the mountains. He grew up in the Austrian tourism destination Kleinwalsertal, studied Physics at the TU and LMU Munich, and now lives with his family south of Munich at the Austrian border.
