Data Privacy

Besides this website, SKInnovation operates a participant platform with personal user accounts, where participants apply for the conference, manage their ticket and participant profile and use the agenda and networking features. How we process account data, including data received through Sign in with Google, is described in section 8.

General Information

The protection of your personal data is very important to us. Therefore, we process your data exclusively on the basis of the legal regulations (DSGVO, TKG 2021). In this data privacy policy, we inform you about the most important aspects of data processing within our website.

Contact with us

If you contact us via the form on our website or by e-mail, your data will be stored for six months to process the request and in case of follow-up questions. We will not share this information without your consent.

Data Storage

We point out that for the purpose of easier shopping and subsequent contract processing by the web shop operator in the context of cookies, the IP data of the subscriber are stored, as well as the name, address and credit card number of the buyer.

In addition, for the purpose of the processing of the contract, all data that you specify when registering for the event are stored as well. The data provided by you are necessary to fulfil the contract and to carry out pre-contractual measures. Without this data we cannot conclude the contract with you.

A transfer of data to third parties will not take place, with the exception of the transmission of the credit card data to the processing bank / payment service provider for the purpose of debiting the purchase price, as well as to our finance department to fulfil our tax obligations.

After the termination of the shopping process, the data stored with us will be deleted. In the case of a contract, all data from the contractual relationships are stored until the expiry of the tax retention period (7 years). The data name, address, purchased goods and date of purchase are also stored until the end of the product liability (10 years).

Data processing takes place, based on the statutory provisions of § 165 (3) TKG and Art. 6 § 1 or lit b (necessary for fulfilment of the contract) of the DSGVO.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies. These are small text files that are stored on your device using the browser. They do no harm. We use cookies to make our offer user friendly. Some cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. They allow us to recognize your browser on your next visit.

If you do not want this, you can set up your browser so that it informs you about the setting of cookies and you allow this only in individual cases. Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of our website.

Web analysis

Our website uses features of the web analytics service Google Analytics (Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”)), which uses cookies to allow users to analyse the use of the website.

Information is transmitted to and stored on the provider’s server, which you can prevent by setting up your browser so that no cookies are stored. We have entered into an appropriate contract data processing contract with the provider.

Your IP address will be collected, but pseudonymized immediately (e.g. by deleting the last 8 bits), so that only a rough localization is possible.

Newsletter

You have the possibility to subscribe to our newsletter via our website. For this we need your e-mail address and your declaration that you agree to receive the newsletter.

Once you have subscribed to the newsletter, we will send you a confirmation e-mail with a link to confirm the registration.

You can cancel the subscription to the newsletter at any time. Please send your cancellation to the following e-mail address: info@skinnovation.at. We will immediately delete your data in connection with the newsletter dispatch.

This revocation does not affect the legality of the processing based on the consent until the revocation.

Ticket shop

Within our event offering, we integrate functions and content from the service pretix, provided by pretix GmbH, Berthold-Mogel-Straße 1, 69126 Heidelberg, Germany. This includes the ticket shop. When you purchase a ticket, pretix uses a technically necessary cookie to enable the ordering process and to remember which shopping cart belongs to you. The cookie is set as soon as you interact with the widget. pretix does not store IP addresses, browser information, or other unnecessary metadata beyond the duration of your request. Further information on data protection at pretix can be found here: https://pretix.eu/about/en/privacy

SKInnovation account and Google Sign-in

SKInnovation operates a participant platform for its conference. You can create a personal account on this website to apply for participation, manage your ticket, maintain your participant profile and use our networking features. Registration is possible with an email address and password or by signing in with your Google account.

If you choose Sign in with Google, we receive from Google only the following data of your Google account: your name, your email address, your profile picture and your Google account ID. We do not request access to your Gmail messages, contacts, calendar, files or any other Google service data. The data is used exclusively to create and authenticate your account.

SKInnovation’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell data received from Google, we do not share it with third parties for advertising or any other purpose unrelated to your account, and we do not use it to train models.

Legal basis for this processing is the performance of a contract and pre-contractual measures pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR. Providing the data is voluntary, but without it an account cannot be created.

Account data is hosted on our behalf by Supabase (Supabase Inc.) in a data centre located in the European Union, on the basis of a data processing agreement.

We store account data for as long as your account exists. You can request deletion of your account at any time by writing to info@skinnovation.at; the data will then be deleted unless statutory retention periods (for example for ticket purchases) require otherwise.

We do not sell your data and we do not pass it on to third parties for advertising purposes.

Your rights

With regard to the data stored with us, you have the right to information, correction, deletion, restriction, data portability, revocation and opposition.

If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law or your privacy claims have otherwise been violated in any way, you can complain to us (info@skinnovation.at) or the Data Protection Authority.

You can find more information about your rights, contact details and the data protection officer on the UIBK main page.
