Viola Weller founded VLACE, a sustainable sneaker brand that transforms fruit waste into high-quality vegan footwear. She holds a Master’s degree in International Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management. Through international work experience in New York City, London and Copenhagen at consulting firms, as well as roles at Daimler, SAP, she developed a deep understanding of global markets, consumer behavior and digital brand building.
In 2023 she founded VLACE with the mission to challenge the ethical and environmental problems of the global shoe industry. Her brand creates sneakers from innovative plant-based materials such as orange, apple, grape and corn waste, handcrafted in Portugal through 50 individual production steps. She aims to prove that fashion can be both aesthetically elevated and responsibly produced.
Viola’s journey is driven by a commitment to sustainability, fairness and innovation. With her academic background, international experience and entrepreneurial work, she represents a new generation of founders building purpose-driven European brands with global potential.
